Broadcasted in 236 territories, Death in Paradise holds an average viewership of over 8 million an episode as it now enters its 14th season! Filmed in Guadalupe and set on the fictitious island Saint Marie, Death in Paradise offers a ray of sunshine in front of each week’s murder mystery to be solved. While assisting Magnus Fiennes since season 4, I had the pleasure to sign on as full co-composer starting season 7 and have taken a leading role in creating many of the beloved and memorable character themes throughout the series.

When a virus takes over the world and a curfew is enacted, a group of amateur street race drivers compete in an illegal night-time street race, where the grand prize is sanctuary. Working alongside composer Magnus Fiennes, I carefully sculpted the music mix for this electronic and retro-synth driven score in addition to providing additional music.

A British museum curator and a charismatic, roguish American team up in an unusual way in a series of global treasure-hunting escapades. Filmed in several countries throughout the world, Hooten and the Lady is a grand adventure with a score to match! I provided additional music and edited arrangements for this 8-episode mini-series which had string and brass sections recorded at AIR studios in London and featured my friend Cuni Besic on guitar.

This comedy centers around a womanizer and gold digger whose illegal robot doubles end up falling in love and develop a plot to team up against their human counterparts. I helped Magnus Fiennes enlist a group of musicians (The Bombillas) to be a “rhythm section” on the score and provided additional arrangements and orchestration for the band. It was a fun week of sessions in which I brought out my trusty Ace Tone combo organ and played all the Marimba and Vibraphone parts on the “Exotica” themed cues.

Yugen is a moving-image artwork that explores the boundaries of a radical new medium to create a visual and meditative exploration into perceptions of reality. Created by Martha Fiennes and starring Salma Hayek, I had the pleasure assisting her brother Magnus Fiennes in mixing the musical score and writing additional music to this multi-layered, complex, and at times video-game like scoring experience.

Off The Floor follows Jessica Anderson-Gwin, a trained choreographer and hip-hop artist as she starts the first contemporary pole dance company, Jagged. This documentary explores how she addresses the prejudice of her critics and attempts to change the taboo ideas surrounding pole dancing. I had a blast in creating the score, in which I played all the instruments, not necessarily knowing the proper way to play them, including the violin and cello! The result was a unique blend of organic textures that perfectly complimented the telling of Jess’s story.

This acclaimed documentary by photojournalist David Binder, tells the story of Gail Farrow, a 27-year-old woman and mother of three sons who was living with and who died of AIDS in 1989, told by her family and children in the years after her death. Binder spent a year and a half everyday documenting the last years of Gail’s life and continued documenting the family over the next 25 years. It was a moving experience working on this score and providing the undertone to many difficult and emotional scenes.

I assisted Magnus Fiennes in creating the music for beauty brand Cleú De Peau's advertising campaign featuring Felicity Jones, produced by The Jane Smith Agency. I had the pleasure to compose two of the campaigns myself and seeing one randomly play at a store at the Osaka airport was surely a treat!
